The Restaurant
Pin Si Kitchen is located on the second floor of Safra Yishun.
When we visited around 12pm on a Sunday, the main restaurant was used for an event so we
were escorted to a small room at another corner. As we didn’t manage to view
the actual restaurant, we are unable to commend much on the actual restaurant
interior.
Dishes We Ordered:
1) Pin
Si Crystal Prawn Dumplings
Description:
Skin was soft , the prawns that made up the fillings are fresh.
Taste was decent and Yi Ting liked it a lot. (She's a fan of har gao)

2) Signature
Siew Mai With Tobiko
Description:
Food was succulent. The mushrooms enhanced the flavour of the dish, making it one the best among all the dishes we ordered.

Description:
Outlook was definitely special. Something that
you don’t see often. After taking a bite, Yi ting took out the skin and only ate the filling. She said that it was too thick and didn't taste great. I was left to finish up the leftover.
Overall:
Order others, your calories are
better wasted on other dishes
4) Creamy Salted Yolk Lava Bun
Description:
Outlook is great but dish was kind of
cold. The salted yolk wasn’t as hot as it should be which was kind of disappointing. However, the filling is generous and the bao was not too thick, which is to my liking.
Overall:
Can try but remember to ask the
servers to ensure the bun is heated up before serving.
5) Spare
Ribs with Black Bean Sauce
Description:
The dish wasn’t too bad as the
flavours were balance. Taste was decent but you can easily find better options
elsewhere.
Overall:
If you like more meat dishes to your platter, do order it
6) Crispy
Beancurd Skin w Shrimps & Cheese
Description:
Serve with mayonnaise, this dish looks
tasty the moment it was being served. Taste was wonderful which makes you
craving for more. The crispy skin serve with soft beancurd and cheese made the combination
irresistible.

7) Deep-fried
Prawn Dumpling w Wasabi Mayo
Description:
Served with Wasabi Mayo, I was looking forward
to the dish. Sadly, it didn’t taste as good as i expected it to be. Personally, I find it
too dry but Yi Ting loves it. Guess it’s a love hate relationship
Overall:
Try with a pinch of salt. Don’t take my advice
on this. Your girlfriend might like it.
8) Century
Egg Porridge w/ Lean Meat & Peanuts
Description:
Looks rather normal and unappealing but
after trying, we were too mesmerised by the taste of it. What makes this dish
interesting was the fried fritters. It was super crispy and taste heavenly with the porridge. It was so good that even now, as
I’m jotting down my thoughts, I still crave for it.
Overall:
Must order, don’t order don’t bother to visit
them
Our Verdict:
Price was reasonable and as a Safra member, i got myself 20% discount from the final bill. Overall, I left as a happy (and super full) customer.
